Posted: 07/28/10 08:41 AM Flag: Best-Of Helpful NSFW Spam TOS Violation's inferiority. I know the Volt has that brilliant trick that allows you to drive it like a gasoline powered car forever, but looking at only electric car aspects, the Nissan Leaf rapes it.
Leaf goes 100 miles on a charge as opposed to 40 for the volt.
Leaf has an additional 480v connection to quick charge it (30 minutes). Volt only has the standard 120v overnight charge connection.
The two cars seem to have the same engine power.
The Leaf is $32k vs. the Volt's $41k price.
On top of that, Nissan is working hard to point out GM's trick with their "no tailpipe" ads, which essentially ask why the Volt needs a tailpipe to vent internal combustion exhaust if it's an electric car. |

Posted: 07/28/10 04:15 PM Flag: Best-Of Helpful NSFW Spam TOS ViolationNo because you thought people wouldn't buy the volt for other reasons. And who knows the volt may still outsell the Leaf due to the volt's ability to go thousands of miles without a charge. But if that happens expect Nissan to copy Volt's internal combustion backup engine feature (better and cheaper version of course) and rape the Volt.
