http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vWUxJDFIgS8/TB3c00ZLhzI/AAAAAAAAAzI/b01m3s2qSSc/s1600/markzuckerberggirlfriend.jpg

i just googled how he met her. she was doing a sycophantic interview of him for the crimson and he asked her out at the end of it. basically he's an insecure nerd who poses as outgoing and charismatic. he's that loud awkward kid you know. so he needs the "me love you long time" attitude.

I knew Zuck's sister Randi back in the day. She's pretty homely as well. And weird, luck her brother. She recently got married (she's about 30) and seems to live a pretty normal life. I don't think they've been able to sell a lot of their shares and liquidate, because there is so much litigation pending about the ownership of fb.

Also, to go along with Robin's point: http://valleywag.gawker.com/5014640/dating-mark-zuckerberg-the-rules

I'm not denigrating *her*. I'm sure she'll make someone perfectly happy as a girlfriend or wife. The point is that Zuck is no longer at Harvard, is in California, is worth at least one billion dollars, and could be pulling supermodel-level women from across the globe. However awkward, strange or caustic his personality is, a billion dollars will overcome that hurdle for many women. He doesn't even need to do it permanently; I'm just shocked he's not doing it now in his prime, when he can enjoy it and pretend it's not just about money.

What makes you think he can pull super models? Ever seen interviews with the guy? He is creepy, awkward, and extremely self conscious. Also short (5'8"-ish) and out of shape.

If you say he could do better with this girl and he doesn't need her writing the rules of their relationship, I agree. He could do better, but he's missing a lot of the other things girls look for.

Dood he could be buying pussy left and right if he wanted to. He doesn't know how to handle his money yet and he's probably slightly scared of women, hence the subservient chink. If he was smart he would cash out of facebook (hopefully he could clear 9 figures) and chill.

O RLY? might those be a few of the many reasons why I aimed to clear a meager 9 figures of cash when on paper his wealth is well into 10 figures? Oh, did you think 9 figures meant billions? Next time take out a pencil and write down what nine figures looks like so there's no confusion. Generally, try not to be off by a factor of 10.

Are you really this fucking stupid? He can't touch any of that wealth unless VC's OK it (they won't, since they've been pouring more cash in), until the litigation over FB has concluded, and until VC's take some of their cash first. There's no way he's anywhere close to seeing 8 or 9 figures--FB owes its VC's well into the hundreds of millions and there is no sign of an IPO anytime soon.

He has to be content with whatever salary he's being paid and whatever liquidity services FB is providing to founders and early employees. This is paltry compared to the "wealth" you're speculating about. There's a reason Zuckerberg still lives in a rental house on College Ave in Palo Alto instead of a mansion in Los Altos or Half Moon Bay.

So if he were to come to you and ask your services as an attorney to get a meager 9 figures (only $100 million) out of Facebook, you would tell him that it's impossible. Are you starting to see why your firm wants you out? (have you been fired yet?)

And don't try to edit either.

It's not impossible, but we don't know the terms imposed upon him by the various layers of VC's.

There is a liquidity plan in place for FB. If it's similar to other start ups, you can get cash out (up to a limit) but the 3rd party buying the shares has to be approved and they always get a fantastic deal, whereas the counterparty settles for a fraction of what the stock could be worth. Usually, you use a trusted 3rd party to sell these shares, to ensure that the shares don't end up in the hands of someone with contrary interests to the firm.

Cashing out is looked down upon by VC's and Zuck has already turned down cash for his stake in FB before. Until the VC's are paid, Zuck can't get cash unless he took a very bad deal to get it. As an example, let's say a good estimate of his shares is X and he accepts 50% of X. Can you see why he wouldn't want to liquidate that much right now? He's also a weirdo and power-hungry guy.

If I was that rich I would try to have it all.

I'd marry a normal woman who would be a good mother (with a prenup, natch) and then sleep around and do my best to not get caught.

With a prenup + $1B, the worst that happens is I get caught and try again.

Why not do the Mick Jagger and have 1 kid with each of 4 or 5 different truly gorgeous women over an extended period? You don't marry any of them, you work out arrangements to pay for everything they need, and maintain good relations with the kids and mothers.

Basic evolutionary psychology says that this is normal. Society, which is a necessity, created structures like marriage to align men's interests with women's interests. One thing men had to give up was the ability to costlessly replace their mate as she aged. Prior to society, many men would remain childless or settle for only the very bottom strata of women, because sans the benefit of marriage, intelligent and attractive women chose to mate with the men with the best looks and resources. The scarcer the resources in a certain region, the more heavily skewed the mating (relatively more women mating with relatively fewer but relatively more powerful men).

The connection you make with a spouse, the friendship and intimacy is something you don't get by banging a hot woman every few years and having her have your child.

Now, I'm a scoundrel so if I were a billionaire I'd like all the good stuff marriage had to offer plus I can still screw around. A prenup is all that is needed to have your cake and eat it too.

Right. Agreed, new pussy available on a daily basis (doable with a billion) is ideal.

My point is that there are benefits of marriage that cannot be attained with new pussy every few years or three months (with the right wife).

So, my solution is to have your cake and eat it too. Have a wife, cheat. Have you guys never cheated on a gf? I find it fun to lie and sneak around. To plan things out. Probably funner with unlimited funds. If wife is none the wiser or willfully blind for the money/lifestyle, then you get it all. If you get caught, no problem. You can find another woman of superb wife in no time with a billion.

Solid if she has her own choice of counsel and counsel is competent. If you agree to pay for both sides' lawyers out of the proceeds of the marital estate and both lawyers are upstanding people, you should have no problems. Courts are reluctant to open up prenups that where representation was adequate--that is the job of the lawyers and there would have to be extreme unfairness or underhanding dealings for a court to get involved.

Note: This doesn't mean that neither side can _attempt_ to have the prenup thrown out. It just means that, as a matter of law, it's fucking hard to overturn a prenup. Cheating wouldn't be enough (unless mentioned in the prenup), but cheating while the kids are in the house or something extreme/risky might be enough. If you cheat and get pregnant by someone else/knock up another woman, maybe. If you cheat and then give your partner an STD, possibly (and certainly could be other courses of action). Basically, it could get dirty and, for PR reasons if nothing else, you probably don't want to push the limits. This is why celebs end up paying out more than the prenup says--the need to avoid bad future PR and move on with their lives. If you can prevent the cheating from becoming well known and publicized, you save yourself a lot of money and career damage.

Unrelated fun fact: Accorind to the new Angelina biography, Mick Jagger fucked her while still married to his 3rd wife who was pregnant with his 4th kid.

This is what you do when you're loaded. Zuckerberg's problem isn't money or prenups, it's that he is and always has been extremely awkward. Money doesn't buy suave confidence or masculine features.

This thread typifies what's wrong with our society. First people delude themselves into thinking their flaws are virtues (superficiality, in this case). Then they criticize their betters for not sharing their flaws.

Dumbs do the same thing when they rail against "intellectuals." Poors do the same thing when they rail against "elites." And so on.

Consider Zuckerberg's personal history w/r/t facebook and his failure with the opposite sex. Once he had a bit of fame and paper wealth, he immediately started chasing tail with it, as depicted in the movie recently made about him. He was, by verified reports, carousing with Victoria's Secret models, and allegedly wanted to have a feature where women's photos were displayed next to animals.

Zuck did all of this so he could either 1) gain entrance to, or 2) usurp, in his favor, the highest rungs of Harvard's social environment. Anyone can claim other motives for wanting to do so, but even the most socially blind shut-in can recognize that dudes in the best frats and social organizations get the most access to the most desirable girls as a result of their status. Zuck was acutely aware of this, and his early actions and motivations in creating facebook indicate that pursuing that status was his motive.

Now Zuckerberg's done a 180 by being (outwardly) monogamous with a girl who I'm confident is a good and caring companion. I'm merely holding him to his own standard and noting the incongruence.

Also, I don't necessarily think that noting attractiveness = superficiality. Are you suggesting it's superficial to not hit on women to whom you have no attraction? I don't think anyone here goes out for the purpose of hitting on ugly chicks. (Then again, many posters here are olds/marrieds.)

Again, Zuckerberg has had better, and this is a big step down for him, especially compared to what other mere millionaires pull regularly. Nobody would give a shit about this if Zuckerberg was a modest Bill Gates type who dated and married for love at the expense of maximal looks. But because he's the most superficial and obnoxious guy in social media, people are reveling in his self-pwnage.

Dude's rich and famous. He undoubtedly has beautiful girls throwing themselves at him. If he wanted a woman who met your standards of beauty, he would have one--whether he had "game" or not. He obviously found someone with characteristics he likes better, because apparently he can consider more than one aspect of attractiveness. And that makes him a better man than most of the posters in this thread, at least when it comes to women.

I'm sure some of the women in his circle (and he must see tons of women day to day . . . press people, his employees, his company's consultants, accountants, attorney, random vendors) flirt and do their best to land his money. Some are probably attractive too.

The question is, will he at some point stop being a fag and take advantage of those opportunities? I mean, how long can a guy stand having to look at Bolo Yeung's face when he's thrusting and trying to cum? especially when you have attractive women doing their best to steal you? Unless he's just an asexual 'mo I don't see how he can resist.
